CNC Grinding Machine Installation, Relocation, and Commissioning

MMS field technicians prepare, move, and recommission CNC grinding machines, from single-machine relocations to full cell moves. Kellenberger, Jones & Shipman, USACH, Hardinge, Hauser, Palmary, Supertec, Okamoto and more.

The least expensive move is the one you plan in advance. Call MMS before you commit to a move, or before you buy a used grinder that needs to be relocated, and we will scope the work, identify risks, and coordinate with riggers and freight.

We install shipping brackets, remove and label major components such as tailstock and workhead, label and disconnect hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical connections, drain fluids if required, and gather tooling and accessories to ship with the machine.

How an MMS move works

Pre-move: site visit or video review, move-feasibility evaluation, rigging recommendation.

Disconnect: shipping brackets installed, major components removed and labeled, fluids drained, accessories crated.

Coordination: we can work with your rigger and freight partners or recommend ones we have used.

Install: voltage verification, leveling, reconnection of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, reinstallation of removed components.

Commission: power-on diagnostics, function verification, test run, sign-off.

Frequently asked questions

Do you handle the rigging and freight or just the technical work?

We handle the technical work: disconnect, reconnect, leveling, alignment, and commissioning. For rigging and freight we either coordinate with your providers or recommend ones we have worked with. That keeps everyone accountable for what they actually own.

How long does a typical grinder install take after delivery?

A single-machine reinstall after a planned move is usually one to three days on site. Larger machines, full cell moves, or installations that include alignment recovery from move damage run longer.
